Our stunning care home The Hamptons Care Centre is a purpose built care home facility in Lytham, St Annes. The home is registered to provide care to 76 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential, nursing and dementia residential. The Hamptons is rated OUTSTANDING in Caring and GOOD in all other domains by CQC and has a 5* EHO rating. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to residents. We are in a great location and have a very good local reputation. New Care has had a 0 agency usage for over 2 years as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care all of our staff are paid above national living wage. 

We are seeking to appoint a motivated, friendly and professional Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team who will ensure that the standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home is maintained to the highest level and within the New Care specification. We have a part time contract available with a competitive hourly rate of £10.50 paid for all staff regardless of their age! Shift times are 0800 – 1200 with alternate weekend working. This is a 4 days per week contract. You must be over 18 to apply for this role.

Role Responsibilities: 

·Tidying and cleaning residents’ rooms, furnishings and carpets

·To assist with laundry during busy periods such as holidays and sickness

·Tidying and cleaning communal areas

·Regularly cleaning and monitoring the cleanliness of the communal toilets/bathrooms

·Ensuring that all toilets/bathrooms and restaurant areas are kept well stocked with toilet rolls, liquid hand soap and paper hand towels

·Remove any trays or crockery left in rooms from previous meal times

·Following cleaning schedules as delegated by the Head Housekeeper

·To assist with other tasks necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the home as directed by the Line Manager.

Skills and experience required: 

·Previous non-domestic cleaning and experience of working in a care setting would be beneficial

·Ability to operate cleaning equipment in the Home

·Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments

·Communicate effectively with other team members

·Display reliability and trustworthiness
