Our stunning new home Statham Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built 66 bed care facility and is situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in the heart of Cheshire. The home which opened December ‘22 will provide the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to residents who have a variety of care needs. We offer residential, nursing and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology, and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion, they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. New Care has had no agency staff use for over 2 years as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care all of our staff are paid above national living wage.

 

We are seeking to appoint kind, caring and experienced Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant’s to join our team. We are looking for Housekeepers who will ensure that the standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, is maintained to the highest level and within the New Care specification. We have a 30 hours contracts available, Shift times are 0800-1600 with a competitive salary of £10.75 per hour paid for all staff regardless of age! You must be over 18 to apply for this position.

 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Tidying and cleaning residents’ rooms, furnishings and carpets
  • To assist with laundry during busy periods such as holidays and sickness
  • Tidying and cleaning communal areas
  • Regularly cleaning and monitoring the cleanliness of the communal toilets/bathrooms
  • Ensuring that all toilets/bathrooms and restaurant areas are kept well stocked with toilet rolls, liquid hand soap and paper hand towels
  • Remove any trays or crockery left in rooms from previous meal times
  • Following cleaning schedules as delegated by the Head Housekeeper
  • To assist with other tasks necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the home as directed by the Line Manager.

Skills and experience required: 

  • Previous non-domestic cleaning and experience of working in a care setting would be beneficial
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment in the Home
  • Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments
  • Communicate effectively with other team members
  • Display reliability and trustworthiness
